Testnet status — c12-testnet-1

Public testnet for engineering and integration. Testnet tokens have no monetary value. Do not present faucet or validator balances as allocations, sales, or listings. Mainnet is planned; token economics are subject to change (ADR-0002 in the chain repo).

HTTPS RPC/REST/EVM URLs are fronted by Caddy. CORS is open on public RPC and REST. No published RPC rate limits yet; faucet 1 drip per address and per IP per 24h.

Genesis integrity

Verify the downloaded genesis before c12d start:

Replace $HOME/.c12d/config/genesis.json (or your chosen --home) after c12d init.

Local testnet (chain repo)

Operators can reproduce a multi-node testnet on a laptop:

Explorer

The Carbon12 explorer indexes attestations, transactions, and auditor Merkle views. Explorer Solidity verification is not yet supported (planned) — see Verifying contracts.

ADR-0019

Testnet faucet and oracle bootstrap values are meaningless placeholders for engineering only. The chain does not claim to verify physical measurements.
